Alba is a collection of poems written over many years and is a series dealing with the social ramifications of the military coup in Chile in 1973. It is a first-hand account through poetry to describe the struggles of living through the Chilean coup of 1973 and the 17 year military-led dictatorship of General Augusto Pinochet.

Other poems deal with people threatened by another’s personal happiness, whether out of jealousy or hate, that will do anything in their power to destroy it.

The lastly, Alba, delves into unrequited love and having to live in the shadows due to the views and punishments of a judgmental society.
