ABOUT THE AUTHOR
A New York based poet, Catherine Grigoriou works in Greek and English. Born and
raised in Greece. She had a classical education (Ancient Greek and Latin.) She
has her first degree in French Studies and Linguistics from Athens University
and a Master of Philosophy Degree in Strategic Studies from Cambridge
University. Additionally, she did post-graduate research on American postwar
foreign policy and is working towards a Ph.D. from the London School of
She has a working knowledge of Spanish and Russian and is fluent in English,
French and Greek. She has lived extensively in England (Cambridge and London)
and is a weathered world traveler (mostly Japan, Russia, Europe and the US.)
She currently divides her time between New York and Greece.
Finally, Catherine Grigoriou is also an art photographer and independent
film-maker, having made her debut in 1995, as the producer of a documentary
named «You Are Not Alone» about the responsibility of Humanity towards Nature
as part of its spiritual growth. She is currently developing her own
screenplays and documentary projects.
It is the combination of words and visual arts that best describe her mission
statement. Catherine doesn’t believe that one should only be an author or an
artist, as she believes that there is a demand for the combination of both, in
the XXIst century. After all an image should be well-versed.
