What are the system requirements for shopping Online?

You may order online with versions 5.0 and later of Netscape Navigator, Microsoft Internet Explorer, or another browser that supports encryption and cookies. It is necessary to enable cookies in order to use our shopping cart system.

How do I add items to my shopping cart?

Once you find an item that you would like to purchase, just click on the "Add to Cart" button. You can then continue shopping as long as you like by clicking on the "Continue Shopping" button. If at any time you would like to view the contents of your shopping cart or make any changes, click on the "View Shopping Cart" button at the top of the page. As you travel throughout the store, these items will remain in your shopping cart and can be purchased at any time.

How do I purchase the items in my shopping cart?

Clicking on the shopping cart icon will bring up a listing of everything currently in your shopping cart. From here you can delete any items you would no longer like to order or change the quantity. When you are ready to order, simply click on the "Check out!" button and you will be led through the online ordering process. You also have the opportunity to complete your order any time you add something to your cart.

Is online ordering safe?

Our software meets industry standards and is among the best available for secure transactions. All customer information on this server is encrypted for your protection. While most pages on this site are not encrypted, you will automatically enter the secure server whenever your personal information is requested. It encrypts all of your personal information so that it cannot be read during transmission over the Internet. We currently accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards online. For your security, we use the same industry standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) as leading major commercial shopping sites to obtain confidential user information.

First, personal information gathered on the Seaburnbooks.com Web site is kept confidential. We do not sell information gathered on this site to other companies or send unsolicited e-mails to customers. We do provide periodic information on specials, promotions, to customers who request it. If, at any time, you decide you no longer want to receive these messages, simply contact customer service or go to your account preference page and inform us of your decision.

I cannot put more than one item in my cart. Help!

Our web site uses cookies to identify our customers and the items they place in their shopping cart. If you have disabled cookies in your browser, or cookies are blocked by your firewall software, we will not be able to log you as a user or keep track of what you place in your cart.

A "cookie" is a unique tag that is issued to a web customer and is used to identify individual computers. Cookies do not harm your computer in any way, they just help us as know who you are.

My credit card is being declined - I know this can’t be the case. What can I do?

Seaburnbooks.com uses the Address Verification System (AVS) and card code verification for your safety and security.

Seaburnbooks.com verifies the credit card billing address on all web transactions. If you wish, you can indicate different billing and shipping addresses for your order, but your billing address must match the credit card you are using.

The card code is an important new security feature that appears on most credit cards. For Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and Diners Club, the code is a three digit number that appears at the end of the account number on the back of the card. For American Express, the code is a four digit number on the front of the card above the account number. The card code appears only on the physical credit card, verifying that you are in possession of the card.

How to use the Shopping Cart

Find an item that interests you and add it to your cart using either the check-boxes from a search results page, or the 'Add to Cart' buttons from any item info page. When you have chosen the items you want, you can review your cart by clicking 'Edit Cart' or clicking the cart icon which appears in the top-right corner of every page.

  1. Review Your Cart. When you are in your cart, you will see all the items you added, any applicable discounts and the cart sub-total. You can remove or edit items form the cart. When you are ready to complete your order, just click 'Proceed to Checkout'.
  2. Shipping Information. Please enter your address and proceed'.
  3. Payment Info. Enter or confirm your credit card information here. Your details will remain secure with us.
  4. Checkout. Review your order summary here, and make sure the payment information you have entered is accurate. If you have a discount coupon, you can apply it here. If you want to make any last-minute changes to your order, you can do that from this page. When you are satisfied with your order, click the 'Place Order' button.
  5. Order Confirmation. Your order is complete! This page provides a summary of your order and a receipt for your records. An email will be sent to you confirming your purchase. You can access the items you bought from this page.

How do I remove or edit the items in my cart?

You can remove items from your cart when you are in your shopping cart. When you are in 'Your Cart', use the check boxes to select any items you wish to remove and click the 'Remove' button. Selected items will be immediately removed from your cart.
If you have added a subscription product to your cart, you may edit the terms of the subscription by clicking 'Edit' where it appears next to the product description.

How do I get a discount coupon?

Coupons are sent to users periodically via email, based on their past purchases or special promotions. Coupons may offer a discount on specific products, a free service, or they may provide a discount which can be redeemed against any purchase for a limited time.
When a coupon code is entered at the Checkout page, the discount is applied to the shopping cart sub-total and the new total is displayed. The discounted total will be charged to the customer’s credit card when the ‘Place Order’ button is clicked to complete the purchase.
To make sure you don’t miss out, register to receive special offers and promotions. We will only send you emails from Reuters, and will never pass your information to anyone else – view our privacy policy.

I am getting an error message when I try to apply my coupon - why?

Most coupon codes can only be redeemed against specific products. If you enter and apply a coupon code that offers a discount on a specific product without having the relevant product in your shopping cart, an error message will appear. To redeem the coupon, add the relevant product to your cart, re-enter the coupon code and click ‘Apply’ before placing your order.
Most coupons can only be used once. If you enter and apply a coupon code which has already been redeemed, an error message will be displayed. For full terms and conditions of use for each specific coupon, please refer to the email you received with details of the coupon offer.
